Cranbourne Daycare & Kindergarten Center (CDC&KC), also known as Judy Clarkson’s CDC&KC proudly includes 6 Education centres -5 Centre Based care & 1 OSHC.
All of these centres are located in central Cranbourne. Their 50th year of education in the local community was in 1968. Their loving staff and educators provide support for 800 families and teach them life skills that they can take on their journey.
They pride themselves on offering small, intimate groups for children and teach them from qualified teachers.
Each child is provided with a customized educational program at their centres. They offer fully-funded kindergarten programs, which are state-funded. These programs are taught by highly skilled, respected and dedicated kindergarten teachers.
Their before- and after-school care program serves 14 schools in the community. To ensure that children get to school safely, they use 7 minibuses and their ‘walking bus’. Schoolie Central is a purpose-built OSHC service that provides an appropriate program for children aged 4-6. It has its own BMX track, and a basketball court. They offer a packed vacation program that includes many excursions/ incursions, and lots of fun during school holidays.
In a partnership with their families, teachers, and children, they will use their strengths, knowledge, and diversity to create curriculums that are constantly changing and evolving and reflect the values, beliefs, and needs of their communities.
They will use current research, theories like Socio-cultural Theory or Ecological Theory as well as professional expertise in their quest for continuous personal development and critical reflection on pedagogies.
The Early Years Learning Framework, The National Quality Framework and (NQF), The Out of School Hours Car- My Time, Our Place (OSHC), Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics and The United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child will guide their practice.
They will work to ensure that their children respect and are connected to the environment.
